Negros Oriental brought home several awards from the Department of Health (DOH) during its annual Regional Health Summit and Awarding Ceremony on 15 November at the Cebu Grand Convention Center.

For the Province of Negros Oriental, Governor Roel Degamo received the Plaque of Appreciation for Invaluable Support Toward the Achievement of Universal Health Care and the award for Best Performing LGU on Increased LGU Budget Allocated for Health.

Aside from the province, several towns and cities, barangays, national government agencies and private stakeholders in Negros Oriental also received awards for their exemplary performance in providing quality health care.
