Nineteen towns and cities of Negros Oriental are joining the fair booth competition in the 13 th Buglasan Festival that opened yesterday in Dumaguete City, senior tourism operations officer Myla Mae Bromo-Abellana said in a press release.

NEGROS ORIENTAL, Oct. 16 (PIA) –  Some eight cities and municipalities’ festivals are expected to compete in a showdown for best Negros Oriental’s Buglasan Festival winner on October 24 at Lamberto Macias Sports Center, Capitol Area, Dumaguete City.

DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, Oct. 16 (PIA) –This year’s 9th Buglasan Lutong Garbo cook fest is set to present the 12 chefs vying for the annual indigenous foods cooking challenge on Saturday, October 25 at 8:00 a.m. at the Provincial Agriculturist Office, along North National Highway, Dumaguete City.

NEGROS ORIENTAL, Oct. 14 (PIA) — President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III has officially declared Friday, October 24, 2014 as a special non-working day in the province of Negros Oriental through Presidential Proclamation No. 888 that was approved on October 9 through Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr.

        – allocated P10 Million for organic agriculture and livelihood program Negros Oriental Governor Roel Ragay Degamo will officially open the  Buglasan 2014 Organic Farm Family Agri-Fair on Wednesday, October 15 at the Provincial Nursery Compound, this City. 

The Buglasan festival of festivals in Negros Oriental will reel off Friday, on the theme “Community Development Through Tourism”.

A huge acacia tree, believed to be decades old, and located at the Ninoy Aquino Freedom Park in front of the Capitol in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, will be cut to prevent accidents that would harm motorists, strollers or passers-by.

The Buglasan Festival of Festivals of Negros Oriental will be celebrated in Dumaguete City October 17-26, with more than 50 events calendared, on the theme “Community Development through Tourism”.

Researchers from Silliman University in Dumaguete City estimated damage from the 6.9 magnitude earthquake, that hit six towns in Negros Oriental in February 2012, at P2.3 billion.

This 2014 Negros Oriental’s Buglasan Festival of festivals celebration is set on October 17-26 with more than 50 events calendared for the celebration.
